LEGO are ending Baseplates!?!?!

It seems like LEGO are officially retiring baseplates, as its been cited in multiple articles that they are set for retirement in February 2022. Yep those trusty plates that have served as the basis of many a LEGO City are now being retired, with, at the moment, nothing to really take its place…
