All My Favorite LEGO Themes Are Dead

Maybe a bit dramatic, but I can’t be the ONLY one who feels this way. The best part of being a LEGO fan is the excitement for what’s coming next. But when your favorite themes are nonexistent, where’s the hype?

I’ve been a LEGO fan for about two years and during this time, I’ve realized that my favorite LEGO themes are either retired or basically nonexistent (Disney D2C sets). Many other LEGO themes get WAVES of LEGO sets each year, but Disney D2C only produces maybe two sets…max? And half of them are LEGO Ideas so it’s just overall confusing. There’s been a lot of talk about LEGO leaks and rumors recently, as well as the extreme hype around the new LEGO Harry Potter summer 2021 sets. It got me thinking about what I’m excited for on that same level and it turns out… it’s not much. There isn’t a huge theme on shelves right now that produces sets at the same capacity as LEGO Harry Potter or LEGO Ninjago that I’m equally excited about, and this can’t just be a ~me~ problem.
