This is a review of LEGO Super Mario set 6993 Sonic vs. Dr. Eggman’s Death Egg Robot! This set contains 3 buildable LEGO Sonic the Hedgehog minifigures / characters: Sonic the Hedgehog, Dr. Eggman / Dr. Robotnik, and Cubot.

ake the LEGO® Super Mario™ action into the skies with Larry’s and Morton’s Airships Expansion Set (71427). It features brick-built versions of these 2 Koopalings’ airships. Place LEGO® Mario™, LEGO® Luigi™ or LEGO® Peach™ (figures not included) in the cockpits and ‘fly’ the airships to activate sound effects and fight a virtual cannon battle. Morton’s airship can also be opened up to create a battle zone in a LEGO Super Mario level. Note: the 71360, 71387 or 71403 Starter Course is required for interactive play.

Sonic’s archenemy Dr. Eggman and his minion, Cubot, have captured animals to power up their inventions. Kids can launch Sonic’s speed sphere to defeat Dr. Eggman before exploring the research station to gather intel ready for their next encounter.

Fast action play
Kids can use the speed sphere and launcher to navigate the ramp and spikes. The Death Egg Robot has a removable capsule that contains the animals Dr. Eggman is using to power it. These can be pushed out and rescued when Sonic scores a direct hit on Dr. Eggman using the speed sphere.
